[Monthly Wrap-Up] August 2019.

Oh finally a ‘wrap-up’ with some content! Yeah! I can’t believe it either! August was also the month I decided to start this new journey on my blog, and I’m so happy I did it.

I read:

  1. The Rose and The Dagger” – Renée Ahdieh (Book 2)

I love this author so much! Omg guys I need to read more of her books because honestly I loved those two books so much! If you haven’t read them, you have to! Obviously I gave it: 5 ★ .

2. “The Sidewalk’s Regrets“- Kate Larkindale

I think it’s the book that got me off my reading slump. I loved it so much. If you want to know more about it, here’s the link to my review! 5 ★ .

3. “Now is Everything” – Amy Giles

You’ll find my review on my blog (now that I’m writing this article, I haven’t posted it yet. So in case I forgot to add the link on this article, just know that you should find my review on the blog). This book was really addictive and I really loved how the author wrote it, even though I guessed the plot and the end very quickly I really enjoyed it. 5 ★ I loved the cover!

4. “Not Hungry” – Karyus Quinn

Just like the previous book, you should find my review on the blog. I read this book in one go but I have really mixed-feeling about this book … I was not convinced at all.. I only gave it 3 ★ but to be honest I think I should have put even less stars ..

I DNFed:

  1. Fangirl” – Rainbow Rowell

Second time I’m trying to read this book (and this time I tried in French) but I don’t know why I really enjoy it but can’t finish it.. Did that ever happened to you ? I think I have heard so many good things about this book and I am really scared to be disappointed..

2. “The Scarlet Letter” – Nathaniel Hawthorne

I wanted to read this one for uni just like “1984” I think it can be interesting for my course.. but no, I just couldn’t get into it. It annoys me, because I studied it a little bit during college and I enjoyed studying it so I would love to discover it properly..

3. “Lily’s Just Fine” – Gill Stewart (Book 1)

I just couldn’t get into the story, I did not like nor enjoy the author writing.. I really liked the cover though.

⟼ I read 04 books and DNFed 03.

It was a better ‘wrap-up’ after such a terrible reading slump. I missed reading so much, but I think starting this new blog helped me a lot. I feel more comfortable and motivated to work on this blog.

I’m wondering if I’m gonna be able to reach my goal after this reading slump knowing Baby Girl is gonna be born soon (she’s due beginning of November) and Uni has started now (beginning of September). What do you think ? Can I reach my goal ? Whats yours, if you have one ?
