[Advent Calendar] December 13th, 2020 – Day 13. πŸŽ…πŸ»

On Day 4, I talked to you about my comfort TV show. Well today I’m going to tell you about my comfort movie(s).

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before 1& 2

Lara Jean writes letter to the boys she loves, she puts their adresses, a stamp and … no, she doesn’t send these letters, she puts them in a box! One day, her letters are being sent to the boys and that’s how everything starts!

I’ve read the books before watching the movies, and I can tell you that they are different. The movies are missing so many details, and it pisses me off for some details but anyway I still love those movies! Lana Condor is the perfect actress to play Lara Jean, and Noah Centineo for Peter Kavinsky.

I’ve seen those two movies … too many times! I can’t tell you how many times, for real… They are my comfort movies because whenever I need to concentrate/focus on something, I put the first movie on. If I don’t feel well, I know it’s gonna help me focusing on something different etc… It’s like Julie and The Phantoms, Jane The Virgin, Orphan Black or even Skins that I can watch over and over again! When I put the first movie on, when it’s over the second plays automatically and if I stop in the middle of the second movies (for example), I know that the next time I will put it on well Netflix will play the first movie automatically, again!

I truly don’t get bored of those movies, and I really enjoy them. Even if sometimes I don’t actually watch them they are just on to be a background noise, well there are always some scenes, that I know I’m going to watch!

I love the scene in the first movie, when Kitty tells her dad: “Says you doctor man! But the Goddess within says it’s a sacred rhythm that represents the deepest celebration of womanhood.” after he tells her “Menstruation is science, nothing to do with the moon.” I love how happy she is with her answer. Kitty is an amazing character i wish there were books and movies just about her! I think she is super funny and actually adds a lot to the movies. Also the actress, Anna Cathcart is amazing, and I really hope we will get to see her in more movies/shows.

Here’s a video of her best moments from the first movie –

What about you, what’s your “comfort” movie ? πŸ™‚
