[Blog Tour] The Meeting Point – Olivia Lara

This is finally my stop for the tour for “The Meeting Point” by Olivia Lara and I’m so excited! Thank you LoveBooksTours and Olivia Lara for this tour. I was gifted a free e-copy of this novel in exchange for my honest opinion!

This photo was provided by LoveBooksTours to use in our post, it’s not mine.

What if the Lift driver who finds your cheating boyfriend’s phone holds the directions to true love?

‘Who are you and why do you have my boyfriend’s phone?’

‘He left it in my car. You must be the blonde in the red dress? I’m the Lift driver who dropped you two off earlier.’

And with these words, the life of the brunette and t-shirt wearing Maya Maas is turned upside down. Having planned to surprise her boyfriend, she finds herself single and stranded in an unknown city on her birthday.

So when the mystery driver rescues Maya with the suggestion that she cheers herself up at a nearby beach town, she jumps at the chance to get things back on track. She wasn’t expecting a personalised itinerary or the easy companionship that comes from opening up to a stranger via text, let alone the possibility it might grow into something more…

Come on this 5* journey to love, laughter and back again, perfect for fans of Mhairi Mcfarlane, Josie Silver and Sally Thorne.

This is the book you had no idea you needed! I fell in love with this story, the characters, the author writing style. I need more.

Maya is on her way to meet her boyfriend when a Lift driver let her know that he is cheating on her. It’s her birthday and she’s alone and heartbroken, so the driver keeps chatting with her through texts messages and he guides her through a city she’s never been to. When they are ready to meet up for the first time, something happens and Maya is going back to New York. Fast forward to a year later… She’s not happy and can’t stop thinking about Max, the Lift driver. She has no idea who he really is, as Max isn’t even his real name. She’s ready to leave New York to go to her mum when her best friend calls her to tell her about a book releasing soon. It’s her story. Their story. The author knows Max, and Max told him everything. She has to find this author, to find Max. And so her new journey begins.

This book will make you smile, cry, get angry, fall in love, you’ll also get to travel and more. I absolutely loved all the characters. The whole story, plot, the twists – it was amazing. I loved the fact that we get to read some chapters for the author’s book (the author is called Ethan) as you feel even more in the story. When I was reading this novel, I was so into it that it felt like I was watching a movie and I was actually in the book. It felt so so real. I felt so involved and attached to everything. I had guessed the biggest plot – aka Max’s identity- but right until the end I still had doubt sometimes because the author is so good to make you doubt! And even though I was actually right, well it hasn’t spoilt the story for me at all.

100% recommend it!
