[Wrap-Up] December 2021.

Last wrap up of 2021, and I’m pretty please with all the great books I read.

I started December with a graphic novel called “The Misfits Club for Girls” (book 1) I really liked it and will definitely read the next ones. I then read “The Seven Husbands if Evelyn Hugo” by Taylor Jenkins Reid and I absolutely fell in love with the author writing! My review will be up on the blog very soon. I finally read “Like a Love Song” by Gabriela Martins which was super easy to read compared to the next one I read “My Dark Vanessa” which hurt my head and my heart really bad! Beautiful novel but just be aware of the triggers and contents warnings beforehand. “The Light Within” was a cute little book for children which I highly recommend (it’s available in NetGalley!) super cute little story. I finally finished reading “Firefly Lane” I was struggling since July to read it because of the tiny writing but oh my god this book broke my heart so so so much. “Until You Come Back Home” is the debut novel of Cristiana Marques who I’ve been following for a while now on bookstagram. It was a cute YA romance set in England and in Portugal and filled with yummy recipes! “This Winter” by Alice Oseman is a novella that I had for almost a year on my TBR and even though it was very triggering (ED) it was very cute and so nice to be with Nick and Charlie again, plus it was set during Christmas time so that’s even better. Last but not least, I read “The Inheritance Games” (book 1) and it was soooooo addictive! I loved it so much and if you haven’t yet you need to read it as soon as possible!

2021 is over now, and I’m so happy to say that I’ve managed to reach my goodreads goal and even surpass it! My original goal was 50 books and I managed to read 60 which I’m really pleased about because at the beginning of the year when I set my goal I was even sure I would read more than 10 books. I’ve been in many slumps all through the year but I’m so glad I managed to read many novels, but also graphic novels because I really enjoy those too.

What was your goal in 2021?

  1. I’m so glad you enjoyed Evelyn Hugo. It’s one of my favorite books and it always makes me happy to see other people reading it and enjoying it as much as I did. I’m hoping to dive into The Inheritance Games this year! 🙂
